US peace festival to screen Iran animation ‘Release from Heaven’

Iranian animated piece ‘Release from Heaven’ is to be screened at the 2018 International Peace & Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Ali Noori Oskouei, the Iranian animation is to compete at the event which is scheduled to convene in Orlando, Florida.

Set in a war torn country, the animation narrates the story of a female writer and teacher, Sareh who has to accompany two of her students on a life changing journey to find their fathers.

‘Release from Heaven’ is a mixture of fantasy and reality in which the teacher tries to tell stories for her students to encourage them, but she finds out that the heroes of her stories are real.

The International Peace and Film Festival is founded as an outreach project for people of all nations to come together and engage in peace and cultural exchange, the official website of the event wrote.

The festival offers an immersive experience in worldwide independent film, culture, fashion, and art in a non political environment.

The event is scheduled to be launched on January 18-20, 2018.
